Onboard has signed a contract with DP World Maritime Solutions (formerly P&O Maritime Logistics) to support the digitalisation of their harbour towage fleet. The first phase of the collaboration covers vessels operating in Mozambique and the Dominican Republic.

Under the contract Onboard will deploy its Maritime IoT Platform to unlock real-time machinery and sensor data from the connected vessels. Crews will also adopt the new Onboard Ship App, enabling accurate job registration, reduced administrative workload, and seamless information sharing with shore teams.

The partnership is built on two strategic objectives for DP World Maritime Solutions:

  • Meeting and exceeding sustainability targets: through precise monitoring of fuel consumption and associated emissions.
  • Optimising vessel utilisation: by gaining deeper insight into each vessel’s operational profile.

“We are proud to support DP World Maritime Solutions in this important step toward smarter, more efficient operations,” said Sander Zwanenburg, CCO of Onboard.“ Their focus on sustainability and operational excellence aligns perfectly with what our platform delivers.”

Implementation will start beginning of 2026, with both companies working closely to ensure a smooth rollout and rapid value delivery.
